Freddie Mac's Primary Mortgage Market Survey shows that the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rate has increased to 6.79% and the 15-year fixed-rate mortgage rate has increased to 6.18% as of June 1, 2023. This is due to the current buoyant economy and the likelihood of a Federal Reserve rate hike.
